My wife and I made a trip over to Rosebud, Texas to bring home a new pup that will hopefully be a hand on the place as well as a buddy to us and our Border Collie. He met the sheep and cattle yesterday and went for a ride in our Teryx two seat buggy today. It is so much fun to watch this little guy take in all the sights and smells. We named him Jacob and will call him Jake so we can yell the one syllable name when he needs to hear from a distance. He is an Australian Cattle Dog or Blue Heeler as they are commonly called around here. Jacob’s color will get darker as the blue merle color comes in more as he ages. Dogs are good for the soul and pups bring out the good in people. If you don’t have one you should. Wild Ed
