German Shorthaired Pointer Club of San Antonio: Annual Walking Field Trial event open to all AKC pointing breeds, at the club’s lease on Green Valley Road in Cibolo. In addition to other stakes there will be a special novice handler hunting dog stake for ages 17 and younger to introduce youngsters to the sport. Texas Outdoor Writers Association: Deadline at midnight for third annual Junior Outdoor Journalist Adventure Story Writing Competition, open to all middle and high school students.
